Eponine
Picture info:
Eponine is a Zaoll Luv
Face-up: by me
The story behind the picture:
October has been the month of girls for me.
In just the twenty days this month is old I have added three!!!! girls to my crew.
One of those girls is this cutie.
Her name is Eponine, or Nina for short. I got her from a friend of mine who was selling her.
I thought she was cute, even with the scars she has on the left side of her face which were placed there by one of her previous owners, and thought. Why not. I can at least try and make it work. Let's take on the challenge and see if I can bond with a girl.
Never was I prepared for the bonding I found in this small girl... or tall, depending on if you want to call her an MSD or SD. Never would I have thought this odd sized girl would be so adorable and lovable.

Kyanara-BJD Commissions for Think Pink
Hi everyone.
I have some awesome news.I have had the amazing pleasure to have been commissioned by Think Pink to do a set of four face-ups for their store.
Have you always wanted a face-up from me, but for some reason never have been able to commission me. There now is a chance to own an amazingly beautiful doll with a face-up I did.
Currently I am doing my best to make the four dolls given to me by Think Pink as pretty as I possibly can for all of you
After I am done, I will hand them back to the lovely ladies of Think Pink and they will put them up for sale in their store. So they will be up for grabs for all of you out there.
I have to admit I feel utterly blessed to have been commissioned by them and I am enjoying every minute of the time I spend doing the face-ups.
Ofcourse I will post photo's of the finished commissions here on my blog and one very profile page and social media page I have an account on.
So you know exactly which molds I have had the pleasure of doing and how they turned out. I hope you will all like them.
And even if you are not interested in buying any of the four dolls, you should check out Think pink's store anyways. They have some amazing stuff for all of you.

Vincent: Souldoll Kagel
The story behind the picture:
There four handsome men are brothers. I have had the pleasure of having both Lucien and Vincent over for a sleep over and I thought that called for a family shoot. It is so awesome to see all of these four men together. This family is very precious to both me and to the owner of Lucien and Vincent (amarie_bjd) you have no idea.
So having this picture is like a dream come true.
These four brothers are the pillars of the family. There are so many more members to this family, but unfortunately not all of them are here in their doll form yet, or they are not finished. One day. I hope to make a full family picture, with all it's member in it.

Ladybug
Picture info:
Daniel is an Illusions spirit Gino
The story behind the picture:
I found this ladybug in my windowsill. Unfortunately I was to late so save it's life and set it free.
It was in such pristine condition I thought it would be a lovely addition to my Warlock's (who I am saving for btw) cabinet of magic things and ingredients. So I popped it in this tiny little glass vial.
Afterwards I was playing with Daniel's hands a little. I love playing with those jointed fingers of him and the image of him holding that vial was so cute I had to take a picture of it.
I can so see him finding a ladybug just like I have and than saving it in a vial for his son Sammy to shown him and teach him.
Yes Daniel may seem all evil and dangerous, but he does have a soft side the size of his son.

The thief
Picture info:
Ilya is a Luts Delf Claus on a volks body
face-up: by me
The story behind the picture:
Ilya decided it would be fun to steal and hide my phone as a prank. And I kept wondering why his bum kept on buzzing and making funny noises.
As part of a photo challenge on the local BJD I made these pics. The challenge was to make a picture where your doll plays a prank on you.
It is not my most thought out picture and it sure was a last minute effort, but Ilya looks so smug and that makes everything okay :D

Brandon retouched
Picture info:
Brandon is a Dream of doll head dream head 11
The story behind the picture:
So I did it.
After so many doubts and not doing it in the end, I finally had the guts to touch up Brandon's company face-up.
Over the 3 years I have had him his blushing had turned from pink to yellow and his pretty much all the colors had faded a little.
So I blushed everything that should be pink, pink again and made his eyebrows darker to fit his wig color better and I love it. He also has a set of new sparkly eyes. So much better than his old ones

A question for my readers
When I first started out with this blog I did more that just post my best pictures and tell you about my doll adventures.
I also made blog posts about new dolls that companies were releasing. Honestly I have no idea why I stopped doing this. But I cam across many of those posts when I was spring cleaning my blog posts. And that made me think. Would my blog readers like to see posts like these back on my blog?
So I am turning to you, my readers!
I need you!! yes YOU!!! to help me make my blog better by answering a little question.
Would you like to see me make blog posts about new doll releases from all the different companies out there?
Please leave your answer in a comment to this post.
Your help is greatly appreciated by yours truly!

The 7 deadly sins: Wrath
Picture info:
Daniel is a Illusion spirit Gino
Face-up: by me
The story behind the picture:
Not so long ago I posted the first photo's of the 7 deadly sins shoots I did. And this is the second set of photo's.
These was my original plan when I started making photo's for this challenge. But I decided on entering the pictures I made of Trez instead of these as they are bordering on violating the forum's rules. And I do not want to get into trouble on that forum over a picture. But I did really want to share these pics as I absolutely adore them and it shows you just who Daniel really is. Daniel is not a very nice and kind person. He was brought up to kill, and he get's a great thrill out of doing it. The baseball bat is one of his favorite weapons. And he will not shy away from killing someone slowly if he can.
In this case he murdered one of my characters of whom I sold his head days before. Thought it was fitting hihi. A farewell to Ryden.

Face-up Commission #67
Picture info:
Commission for Widu
Mold: Souldoll Shaun
The story behind the picture:
This face-up was such a challenge of my skills. The owner asked me to do a facial tattoo thing in a shiny color.
I normally do not do these kind of things, but it seemed so much fun to do so I accepted the challenge and faced it head on.
I am so very pleased with how it turned out, even though it was a hard thing to do. And more important, the owner loved it! Mission accomplished. Whooo! Time for a happy dance!

Big Spring Blog Clean up
*picks up her broom and starts sweeping.*
Today I started a big spring clean up on my blog.
I noticed I had a lot of blog posts up from which the picture had gone missing, and I can not seem to find out where they went.
I don't like having blog posts on my blog that evolve all around the picture, but there is no picture to be seen. So I decided that if I could not find the pictures, I should delete those posts.
What is the use of keeping them, when there is nothing in them to show?
I deleted a little over 60 blog posts.
No worries though. I still have more than 300 posts for you to see and read, there is still plenty left.
And ofcourse there are many more new ones to come.

The 7 deadly sins: vanity
Picture info:
Trez is a dollndoll king lucian
Face-up: by me
The story behind the picture:
First of all. Soorrryyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! to all of you, my followers, for my absence here on my blog.
I should be ashamed of myself for not being active here at all. I need to admit that have been very very busy and been using Instagram, as it is just a little quicker that blogging. BUT! I have not forgotten about my blog. Not at all. I have been hoarding awesome pictures I wanted to share with you.
Two of those pictures are the ones you see above.
For a photo challenge on a local forum we needed to make pictures of one of the seven deadly sins.
At first I choose do to wrath, but my pictures were a bit edge and might clash with the rules of the forum so I decided to choose another sin and ended up picking vanity. And Trez is the perfect boy to portrait this sin.
As he is indeed a little vain with his perfectly groomed hair, his fancy outfit and ofcourse that damn mirror he is holding.
This shoot did require a little bit of behind the scenes magic, but the pictures turned out soooo well. I adore them.
Ofcourse I will post the pictures I made of Wrath here on my blog as well. just because I didn't post them on the forum doesn't mean you won'get to see them.
I am dubbing on doing the other 5 sins as well. It would be awesome to do, I think. I am going to rake my brain to see if I can find the idea's for the other five.

New wig for Sebastian
Picture info:
Sebastian is a luts CP breakaway bloody valentine
face-up: by amariexciryatan
The story behind the picture:
So.... my handsome vamp man Sebastian turned a bright shade of orange,
I really did not like how his other wig looked without a beanie on it. It was horrible, you must believe me. He looked like some sort of very sad poodle. Then I realized I had this amazing bright wig still sitting in my drawer of which I knew looks awesome both with and without a beanie. And lucky for me Seb is rocking that wig. And looking at this pic, I think he thinks exactly the same way I do.

My Face-up Tools: Pastels
My Face-up Tools blog post series.
I have had a lot of questions about what tools I use when I do a face-up.
So I thought it would be interesting for all of you do show you just exactly what I use.
What Pastels I use, what brushed I use, which sealants and all the other stuff I use.
Thus, I decided I'd do a little series of blog posts to tell you all about the all the lovely items that help me do my magic.
Pastels
It is almost impossible to do a face-up without pastels. Well maybe if you have an airbrush it is possible. But seeing I and many people with me do not have one, Pastels are a must. Pastels are your best friend for blushing your dolls. From the yes, to lips, cheeks and even option parts and fantasy parts. I use my pastels for everything I do.
You can not use just any pastel for your face-ups.
When doing face-ups you can only use Soft Pastels. These pastels do not have Oil in them. Oil containing pastels will stain your doll, and you don't want that to happen, right?
I use a three different brands of pastels.
1: Rembrand
My all time favorite Pastels are Rembrands. They are expensive as hell here in the netherlands but they are heavenly to work with. They have are high pigment pastels so you don;t have to use a lot to get the color to stick on your doll. When buying these pastels I decided to only buy the colors I would use most. So I got only 12 Rembrand pastels. All in different kinds shades of brown, red and one black one. Luckily for me the shop I bought them from gave me these handy black storing thingies so I can keep these expensive babies safe.
2: Jaxel
Jaxel is a good, cheaper alternative for Rembrand. They also have a high pigment in them, but not as much as the rembrands do. And they are a little bit more fragile. But they work very well for face-ups if you do not want to spend that much on for example Rembrand.
Currently I own onlt 4 rembrand pastels. All in natural colors. And I use two of them on ALL! my face-ups. I picked these 4 pastels because I could not find a good match in the Rembrand collection.
3: Mungyo pastelsI have box of 64 Mungyo Pastels. This box contains small pastels, which are about 1/3 of my other pastels in size.
The box is filled with all sorts of colors. from natural colors, to bright and even neon colors. I use this box when people commission me for very colorful face-ups. The pastels are very nice to use. Some colors contain more pigment than other, so sometimes you need more of a certain color that other colors, but they are good to work with. And because of all the different colors you will always have that perfect color or those colorful face-ups.
So now you know which pastels I use to create all my face-ups. Hope this info will help you find your favorite pastels.
Next in the "my face-up tools" series are Paint.
Keep an eye out for my next post if you want to know more about what paint I use

Face-up Commission #66
Picture info:
Face-up commission for rasilverstorm
Mold: Luts SDF winter event head 2015
Face-up by me
The story behind the picture:
This face-up was one I was looking forward to. Not often do I get the request to go nuts with color.
Most of my customers ask for a face-up with natural shades, and smokey eyes. The kind of face-ups I am know for. And I love doing those don't get me wrong. But I also love to work with color, unfortunately those request are not as frequent.
So you can understand how happy I was that I got this commission. Finally after a long time I could go all out with color. My mission was to capture a Male Fairy Princess vibe.
I choose these three colors because I thought they would look amazing with the wig and the outfit this doll would be wearing. And I was allowed to give him freckles! Yay. Hope you can see them. I made them very light so they would not be overpowering.
I 100% adore this sculpt so it was really fun doing his face-up. One day I am going to own one of these heads. I just have to!!!!!

Skateboards & Camera's
Picture info:
Bentley is an Asleep Eidolon Alex on a mirodoll body
Face-up: By me
Miloh is a Switch Huisa on a Leekeworld body
Face-up: by me
The story behind the picture:
I took these pictures for a challenge on a dutch local forum.
I had won the previous challenge with one of my pictures, so I had the chance to choose the next subject. I choose "Doll and their Hobbies" as the new subject. I had been wanting to make some pictures of these two doing just what they are doing in this picture for a long time, and now with this challenge I had the chance to make that idea a reality,
It's where two hobbies come together.
Both Miloh and Bentley are born with skateboards underneath their feet. And Miloh also has a huge passion for photography. So what could be more fun for these two best friends to combine the two things and make some super awesome action shots?
No, I know this is not an action shot. I did want to see if I could make an action shot, but its really hard levitating a doll in mid air, so this shows them planning the next shot.
