I can not begin to tell you all how much this pictures means to me.
But first of all I should probably tell you all.....
Jules is back! :D
After a few weeks without a solid mold for Jules I found him again. And I am overjoyed to have him back. He is one of my most special characters and I honestly can not do without him in my crew.
A few nights back I was in bed and was thinking about what shoots I could do with my dolls. (yeah I think about that kind of things when I am trying to fall asleep XD)
And this image of Jules, sitting somewhere on the floor of his home, guitar and paper at hand, writing the next new song for the band came rushing to me.
So the very next day I set off to work to make it happen.
Never in a million years would I have expected the picture to turn out this great.

Busy busy me

Lately I have been swamped in work.

Something I don't mind at all, don't get me wrong.
I have been working hard on making items for my Etsy shop, but mostly of all I have been busy with my new job and doing face-up commission.

About a little over a month ago I got myself a new job that keeps me away from home 2 days a week and keeps me busy another two evenings a week at home.

The rest of the days in the week have been consumed by face-up commission.

I have been so lucky that I have been receiving so many request for face-ups, and I love dong them.

But I got a little to consumed in making them head pretty and getting them back to their happy owners, that I forgot making end result pictures of most of them

Yes, I know. I am an idjit for doing so. Luckily some of the commissions have been by friends, so I can ask  them if I can take pictures of the heads when I see them again. Others, I am not so lucky with. 

I am trying to collect as much pictures of the face-ups as I can, so I can update you all on my latest work.

So.... expect some updating of my portfolio in the near future. (okay maybe a lot of updating, I have been lacking in updating due to me being so busy, sorry about hat)

The new Guy

Never in a million years would I have thought to ever own a Dollzone head. I am completely honest that there are only a hand full of dollzone dolls I am not weirded out about. (I do not meant to hurt someone's feeling by saying this.) Dollzone, has never really been my cup of tea.
But then this guy came along. I have had the pleasure of doing a face-up on him for his former owner, and I can remember cussing tremendously whilst doing it, he is such a challenge with his lips and eyebrow shape. BUT he turned out lovely that first time and his former owner was happy with him.... But sometimes a doll head is not meant to be yours, and that was the case with him and his former owner. He went up for sale. And for a long time I didn't think of actually being the one to buy him. But last weekend at a large BJD trade meet he called out to me, and I knew he would be perfect for that dollzone body I already had at home.
So he came home with me and a styling session and a new face-up later (which ofcourse was a fresh slice of hell again. Really he is the only head I struggle with, don't know why) I am so happy with how he turned out.
It's still a little unreal for me t have this handsome guy be a part of my crew.

Which was a good thing for Little Reza here as he now has a new hair cut.
The wig look so good on him.

As some of you know I recently reshelled Patch from my leeke Romeo to my Dream of doll Code 2.
Now I hear you think.... This doll is not a code 2 mold.
True! Yo are right.
After some time I knew the code 2 was not meant to stay Patch. He was meant to be a temporary shell for one of my most precious characters.
He was meant to be Patch until found the right mold for his character.
And about a week ago I found Patch in an unexpected corner. I found him in the mold I had used until then for my character Luca.
He has that playfulness and that arrogance that the character has.
He is just perfect for Patch. And I am so happy to know my search is finally done.

Summer holliday

I am leaving for a well deserved break from life, better know as summer holiday. I have no idea how well the internet connection is going to be on the campsite and thus can not promise I can be active or not. Pailsey, as you can see, is also ready to go on a sunny retreat. He has packed his bags and is ready to leave. Where he is going?  I have no clue. I do not have the room to bring him along with me so he decided to plan a holiday of his own.

He can rock almost every wig I put on him and that causes him to change wigs a lot.
I really should get settled on just one, but it is hard when he looks so damn good in so many wigs.
But I think I might have found one that might stay his for a long time to come.

OMG, Patch his new wig arrived yesterday!
I can hear you think. Wait... isn't that the same wig he always wears.
Yes, you are so right.
Why did I get him a new one when he already had one? AND WHY DOES HE LOOK SO DIFFERENT????
I recently reshelled Patch from a leekeworld romeo to a dream of doll code 2 after a buttload of months of bonding issues with the leeke romeo head.
No, it was not an easy choice for me to make as the leeke romeo mold was my oldest doll and had been with me for over 5 years. But I had to make it, for the sake of my bonding with the character.
With that reshell came the change from an sd 9-10 inch head to a sd 7-8 inch head.
Which made the wig I already had two sizes to big for his new shell.
And thus I had to buy him the same wig, just a little smaller.
That wig arrived yesterday and after some styling and struggling with his signature headband I fell in love all over again with this man.
I just love the way his big ears are poking through  and that it's flows so nicely around his face.

But because that did not turn out as I had hoped I had to re-do his whole face-up.
